Define and Discover

                                           Cryptography

Authors name: Brasquet and Thomsen

The past weeks our class have been working on the topic Cryptography. It is a very extended topic where there are other littel topics refering to it like Ceaser Cipher , Visual Telegraph etc. We will define and discover this littel topics below. Talking about who do we learnt to use it, the answer is Khan Academy. There we got kind of a Problem that we had to solve using clues. This clues werent normal clues , they have something different because they were written with a code. So we learnt who to use this kind of secret code . It was difficult because now a days no one use this different codes but it was cool to knoe that they exist.

For example, here's the Caesar Cipher encryption of a message, using a right shift of 3.

The first telegraphs were Visual Telegraphs, they used visual signals such as smoke signals and beacons. These have existed since ancient times, but they were unreliable and very susceptible to being garbled in transit.

In cryptanalysis, frequency analysis is the study of the frequency of letters or groups of letters in a ciphertext. The method is used as an aid to breaking classical ciphers.
